What to Expect
We worship as a multi-generational family of God, treasuring the old and the new. Our worship services seek to contain a blend of traditional and contemporary songs, as we seek to worship the Lord with reverence and joy. We typically dress tidy casual.
The Bible is our focus, as we believe it holds forth the Word of Life. Our services always contain Bible teaching, as we seek to understand God’s word more fully and apply it to our lives.
We encourage God’s people to begin and end the Lord’s Day with worship. Each of our services are distinct and focus on a different theme from the Scriptures (often led by a different preacher).
We’re a congregation who loves to sing and so before our morning service commences at 9:30am, we’ll generally sing a few “bonus” songs beforehand that our music team has chosen. So if you hear voices already singing as you’re walking towards the church, that’s not necessarily a sign that you’re late!
The service usually concludes just before 11am, and then we enjoy conversation over light refreshments. A creche is available in the hall at the rear to care for young children. Our children are with us during the first half of the service and then, after the Kids Talk, head out to our Sunday School program.
This Sunday afternoon, we are not meeting at our regular time and building at 5pm. Instead we are meeting at 4pm at Rehoboth Christian College (92 Kenwick Road, Kenwick) for a special Reformation Sunday service combined with other CRCA and Presbyterian congregations. You are welcome to join us there!
