Summary
- The teaching ministry of our church honours the Bible as the final authority in all matters of faith and life.
- We believe in one God in the Trinity of the three persons of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
- We affirm the real historical events of Christ’s birth, life, death, resurrection and future return.
- We look to Jesus for the forgiveness of sins and eternal life.
- We seek to live in obedience to the Great Commandment to ‘Love the Lord our God with all our heart and soul and mind and strength, and love our neighbour as ourselves’ and to the Great Commission to ‘make disciples of all nations.’
Doctrinal Standards
We hold to the three ecumenical creeds:
- the Apostles Creed
- the Nicene Creed
- the Athanasian Creed
We also teach in accordance with the Three Forms of Unity:
- the Heidelberg Catechism
- the Belgic Confession
- the Canons of Dort
